MARYLAND, Pasadena, Oct 4, (Agencies): Nearly 2,000 UFO sightings have been reported in the skies of Maryland, as revealed by the National UFO Reporting Center. These reports detail encounters with Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) of various shapes, including circles, ovals, triangles, diamonds, lights, orbs, flashes, disks, and fireballs.
One report from Pasadena, Maryland described four spinning disks of different colors beneath an unidentified object. In Cockeysville, Maryland, another witness observed a "chevron-like craft" with faint circular lights on its wings but no visible light bulb.
Additionally, a report from Rockville, Maryland included photos of a UAP that appeared relatively low in the evening sky. The witness likened it to a classic flying saucer with a black marking on the front.
National UFO Reporting Center Director Peter Davenport expressed encouragement at the increasing number of people coming forward to report their skyward sightings, acknowledging the government's recognition of the phenomenon.
NASA's Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Independent Study Team recently called for more in-depth data analysis and scientific research to better understand these sightings, even though most are ultimately identified as planes, balloons, drones, or weather events.
While the origin of these UAPs remains uncertain, Congress held a hearing on July 26 where former military members discussed the potential security threats posed by such phenomena. Pressure continues to mount on the government and military for increased transparency regarding UAP-related information.
