KUWAIT CITY, March 6: The seasonal fruit known as Nabq, or Canari, has gained popularity in Kuwait due to its delicious taste and high nutritional value, making it a favored choice among both citizens and residents.
The Nabq fruit, derived from Sidr trees, is widely recognized for its variety, as it comes in different sizes, shapes, colors, and tastes. Sidr trees, which are native to various Arab countries, are particularly well-suited to Kuwait’s environment. These resilient trees can thrive in harsh weather conditions and are commonly found throughout the country. The fruit is harvested during the spring equinox, adding to its seasonal appeal.
The Sidr trees themselves are known for their dense, hanging branches and deep roots. They typically grow to heights ranging between two and 12 meters, contributing to the tree's distinct appearance and ability to withstand extreme environmental factors.
As Nabq or Canari continues to gain traction, it has become a symbol of Kuwait’s connection to its natural heritage, and the fruit is increasingly sought after for its health benefits.
