KUWAIT CITY, Feb 5: Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Al-Ajeel emphasized on Tuesday that the second National Industries Pride Festival serves as a key platform to promote national products and showcase their high quality, ultimately strengthening Kuwait's industrial standing.

In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) during the festival's opening, Minister Al-Ajeel highlighted the importance of supporting and encouraging national industries by organizing events and festivals that spotlight the accomplishments of local companies. He praised the efforts of all the organizations involved in the event, which is a collaborative effort between the Voluntary Work Center, Kuwait Municipality, and the Mubarakiya Market Beautification and Development Committee.

Sheikha Amthal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Head of the Voluntary Work Center, also spoke to KUNA, explaining that the center aims, through this festival, to support Kuwait’s vision of showcasing the potential of the local industrial sector. Sheikha Amthal noted that the first edition of the festival, which coincided with the Gulf Cup (Gulf Zain 26), was a resounding success and well-received by attendees, prompting expanded participation for the second edition.

She expressed hope that the event would not only boost consumer confidence in national products but also foster stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors to achieve sustainable economic development.

The festival is being held at Mubarakiya Market, featuring the participation of 16 leading Kuwaiti companies across various local industries. Additionally, the Kuwait Oil Company and Kuwait Airways are also partaking by offering special deals to festival visitors.
