The Martyr’s Monument

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 3: The Assistant Undersecretary at the Amiri Diwan and the Director General of the Martyr’s Office Salah Al-Awfan says, “The office has submitted all the files of the Bedoun martyrs’ families to the Ministry of Interior in preparation for considering their naturalization according to the procedures and laws regulating the process”, reports Al-Rai daily.

Al-Awfan said this in an exclusive press statement issued on the sidelines of the activities held in honor of the martyrs and their families, which the office organized on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the Iraqi invasion. Al-Awfan said, “The office organized activities and exhibitions in various commercial complexes in the country, as well as in the Kuwait International Airport’s T1 terminal and the Museum of Remembrance in the Shaheed Park. Commemorating the invasion is part of what the Martyr’s Office is doing to perpetuate the memory of the righteous martyrs of Kuwait, and turn it into an occasion to remember the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Kuwait. The activities include an exhibition titled “The Most Expensive Homeland” held in complexes through panels bearing pictures and names of 1,317 martyrs of 14 different nationalities who sacrificed themselves for the sake of Kuwait. Kuwait International Airport is also witnessing part of the activities by distributing the slogan of the martyr’s fingerprint to travelers and returnees to the country.
