NBK launches its annual campaign to raise female health awareness of Breast Cancer

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 23: On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) launches its annual campaign to raise awareness for female health during the month of October. The campaign is a part of NBK’s continuous efforts to increase social awareness on breast cancer and promote ways of prevention.

As a visible gesture of solidarity, NBK has lit its headquarters in pink to honor survivors and show support for patients.

NBK’s Public Relations Officer Danah Younes Faras, said that this awareness campaign reflects NBK’s commitment towards corporate social responsibility.  NBK strives to highlight its support to its employees as part of this commitment through health and well-being activities and events.

“The breast cancer initiative aims at educating our employees on the importance of early detection and encouraging our female employees to get routine checkups”, Faras added. “This awareness campaign reflects NBK’s commitment towards our employees who represent a completely foundational priority at NBK, and is one of our six main sustainability focus areas,” she noted.

In line with this, NBK has collaborated with several partners to offer exclusive benefits to its employees, reinforcing its commitment to health and wellness. Images Diagnostic Center provided NBK female employees with a 50% discount on screening tests for early detection, and a mobile clinic was available at the main entrance of NBK Headquarters for added convenience.

Moreover, Inspire Gym offered a complimentary 30-minute spin class, followed by a 30-minute stretch class, exclusively for NBK female employees. As part of the campaign, NBK offered all NBK employees a complimentary pink mojito drink in collaboration with Pret A Manger to support the initiative. Additionally, Disc Clinic  extended a 25% discount on all services for NBK employees and their families, further promoting a holistic approach to health and wellness.

Breast cancer remains the second most common cancer globally, and early detection plays a critical role in increasing survival rates. NBK urges its employees and the broader community to prioritize their health by getting regular screenings. Early detection saves lives—get checked
