KUWAIT CITY, Dec 15, (KUNA): The General Secretariat of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters expresses deep sorrow for the loss today of the esteemed Kuwaiti businessman, writer, and poet Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain, may his soul rest in peace. In an official statement, the General Secretariat conveys heartfelt condolences from the Minister of Information, the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, and the Chairman of the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters, Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, to the bereaved family and friends of the departed. The statement beseeches the Almighty to grant them patience and comfort during this challenging time and to bestow His vast mercy upon the departed soul.

Recognized as one of the most distinguished figures in Kuwaiti and Arab culture, the late Abdulaziz Al-Babtain was a renowned poet and one responsible for cultural awakening. He authored numerous poetry collections and served as the head of the Al-Babtain Group for Poetic Creativity.

His contributions extended to various educational and literary institutions in the Arab world, earning him honorary doctorates from several Arab and international universities as a tribute to his outstanding achievements in the realms of literature, culture, and poetic creations.
