35 places reserved for Itikaf KUWAIT CITY, May 17: Assistant Undersecretary for Mosques Affairs Dr. Waleed Al- Shuaib affirmed that the Mosques Affairs Sector at Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs have completed necessary preparations to welcome the month of Ramadan 2017 (1438 AH), reports Al-Seyassah daily. He declared that all mosques across the country are well-prepared for worshippers along with 26 Ramadan centers and 35 places for Itikaf (solitary worshipping). Dr Al-Shuaib revealed this recently in a press release, stressing that the holy month requires preparations that are appropriate for nature and the place this month has in the minds of Muslims. He said Muslims feel more motivated to step up the level of spiritual atmosphere, indicating that the sector succeeded in choosing mosques for a series of cultural and preaching activities and programs that usually take place in Kuwaiti mosques during the month. He indicated that a large number of worshippers will be thronging the designated mosques for participating in the programs and activities. Dr Al-Shuaib explained that the sector, in compliance with directives from the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and State Minister for Municipal Affairs Mohammad Nasser Al-Jabri has made necessary preparations. These preparations include maintenance of mosques across all governorates to ensure comfort of worshippers, who will be given full support to facilitate accomplishing religious, scientific, cultural and social goals throughout the period.
