Apple’s AI features to launch After iPhone and iPad software overhaul, report.

NEW YORK, July 29: Apple's highly anticipated artificial intelligence features will not be ready in time for the initial rollout of the new iPhone and iPad software updates, according to a Bloomberg News report on Sunday.

The tech giant plans to introduce Apple Intelligence in a series of updates scheduled for October, following the initial release of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, which are set for September. The AI features are expected to debut a few weeks after the primary software updates.

Apple will begin offering Apple Intelligence to software developers for early testing this week through the iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 beta versions, the report added. However, Apple has yet to provide a response to requests for comment outside of regular business hours.

The delay in AI feature rollout follows Apple’s June announcement, where the company highlighted its AI initiatives as part of a broader effort to revitalize sales with new software enhancements for its devices.

Apple Intelligence is designed to generate text, images, and other content using artificial intelligence. It will be available on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPad and Mac devices equipped with the M1 chip or later. Additionally, iPhone Mirroring on MacOS Sequoia will enable users to view and interact with their phone’s screen on Mac computers.

This delay follows Apple's recent decision to postpone three new AI features, influenced by the European Union's stringent tech regulations requiring compatibility with competing products and services.
