KUWAIT CITY, Dec 6: The Ministry of Information has set new conditions for evaluating those who apply for senior positions based on two criteria such as the functional capabilities and personal interview, reports Al-Qabas daily. Informed sources said the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Abdul Rahman Al-Mutairi, has issued a decision specifying the elements and criteria for evaluating the candidates, so that a score of 70% is must to bag the job also depending on the job experience in the field of work of the organizational unit for which the candidate is nominated and the proposed plan for its development, leadership features and training courses undertaken in the respective field, his experiences and contributions, while a score of 30% and this depends on the interviewer.

The sources indicated that the candidate for the supervisory position is required to fulfill the conditions, such as must have the ability to develop and modernize the work mechanism and should have not been subjected to one of the disciplinary penalties stipulated in the civil service system. The sources indicated that the decision included mechanisms and procedures for candidacy, which includes informing those who did not meet the conditions of not accepting the nomination, stating the reasons in an official letter from the Administrative Affairs Department.
