KUWAIT CITY, Aug 20: The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved the request of Indian airline Akasa to commence operations between Kuwait International Airport and Mumbai Airport. Starting August 23, Akasa will operate seven flights per week, offering one flight per day on this route.

Raed Al-Taher, Air Transport Controller for Flight Operations at the DGCA, informed Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that this new operation by Akasa aligns with DGCA's ongoing efforts to enhance direct flight options for passengers traveling to and from Kuwait. Currently, Akasa's flights will be exclusively between Kuwait and Mumbai; however, the airline plans to expand its services to other airports across many destinations in India shortly.

Al-Taher emphasized that Akasa’s operations at Kuwait International Airport will significantly contribute to meeting the growing demand for flights between Kuwait and India. This development will serve the needs of both citizens and residents in Kuwait, strengthening the connection between the two friendly nations. (KUNA)
