KUWAIT CITY, Aug 19: Following the directives of His Excellency Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, the General Administration of Correctional Institutions has inaugurated a new building for the Department of Deportation and Temporary Detention Affairs in the Sulaibiya area.

The transfer of deportees awaiting deportation, both men and women, to the new facility will occur in several stages.

This initiative reflects His Excellency's commitment to supporting projects that consistently address the needs of inmates within correctional institutions. The new building stands out for its adherence to international standards regarding human rights, featuring various service facilities.

The opening of this facility is part of a broader series of development projects aimed at improving the work environment within correctional institutions, enhancing inmates' rights, and modernizing facilities to meet international standards, ensuring the necessary care is provided.
