New Digital Tools Empower Kuwait's Private Sector Workers to File Complaints and Track Absences

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 25: A source from the Public Authority for Manpower's Labor Protection Sector mentioned that they are working with the Information Technology Department to improve online services for all registered workers. These updates will allow workers to easily file and track labor complaints, check absence reports, and handle other job-related tasks online, helping to protect the rights of private sector employees.

The source emphasized the Authority's dedication to ensuring workers' performance and their adherence to employer obligations within the framework of relevant laws, decisions, and regulations governing labor relations.

The electronic services provided by the Authority enable private sector workers to obtain copies of documents that establish their employment relationship. Additionally, workers can file labor disputes and work permit complaints, and track the progress of their submissions. Employers also have access to services such as filing absence reports and monitoring their status through the "labor service" portal designed for employers.

The source highlighted that the electronic service allows both employees and employers to receive notifications about any new developments in disputes or absence reports via text messages sent to the phone numbers registered with the Authority. Furthermore, individuals can follow up on complaints by accessing the Authority's electronic services, selecting the "Easy" service, and then choosing "Inquire about Labor Complaints." After clicking on the "Start Service" option and entering the necessary information, they can view the results. These services are also accessible through the "Sahl" application.
