KUWAIT CITY, May 28: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs announced on Monday that pilgrims will no longer need a prior appointment to take a biometric fingerprint. This decision, made in agreement with the Ministry of Interior, requires pilgrims to present a certificate confirming their Hajj registration through the unified government application for electronic services, “Sahel.”

In a statement on its “X” platform account, the Ministry highlighted that this initiative aligns with its commitment to excellence in Islamic services. The goal is to provide the best possible services to pilgrims and to strengthen strategic partnerships with state agencies, ensuring that all obstacles for the guests of God are overcome.

The designated “biometric fingerprint” centers for pilgrims include the identity verification and automated search departments in the governorates of the capital and Hawalli (West Mishref), Farwaniya and Jahra (companies and governorate departments), Al-Ahmadi (companies and governorate department), and Mubarak Al-Kabeer and commercial complexes. These centers will operate daily from 8 AM to 8 PM.
