KUWAIT CITY, Jan 13: The Ministry of Health has announced the health requirements that travelers to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must follow to perform Umrah or visit the Prophet’s Mosque. These guidelines are based on instructions issued by the relevant authorities in the Kingdom.

The Ministry clarified that all adults and children aged one year or older are required to receive the quadrivalent Neisseria meningitidis vaccine (ACYW-135). It emphasized the importance of obtaining a vaccination certificate that proves the vaccine was administered at least 10 days prior to arrival in the Kingdom. The certificate must remain valid for three years if the polysaccharide vaccine was used, or five years if the conjugate vaccine was used.

The Ministry also noted that the vaccine is available at all preventive health centers and travel clinics in Kuwait during official working hours. This is to facilitate the process and ensure the safety of travelers.
