KUWAIT CITY, March 25: The Central Bank of Kuwait has announced that several ATMs will be stocked with new Kuwaiti dinar banknotes at key shopping malls across the country during the Eid al-Fitr holiday. This move is in response to increased demand from citizens seeking new denominations for Eid gifts.

In a press release, the Central Bank stated that the ATM service will be available at The Avenues Mall, 360 Mall, Al Kout Mall, and Capital Mall, starting on March 25 and continuing through to the first day of Eid al-Fitr. The service has been launched in collaboration with the Kuwait Banking Association, the Shared Automated Banking Services Company (K-NET), and the participating malls.

The Central Bank noted that this service has been well-received in previous years, as it provides a convenient way for the public to access various denominations of banknotes, especially smaller ones, which are often unavailable at regular ATMs.

Additionally, the Central Bank mentioned that it had already supplied local banks with the new banknotes, ensuring their availability at bank branches across Kuwait. In preparation for the Eid holiday, Kuwaiti banks have allocated 308 branches and 101 ATMs to meet customer demand for the new currency. The locations and operating hours for these services have also been announced.

This initiative aims to ease the process of acquiring new banknotes and enhance the overall experience for citizens during the festive period.
