KUWAIT CITY, July 1: The Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, announced that the new maternity hospital represents a significant addition to Kuwait’s healthcare system, enhancing the ministry’s capacity to offer distinguished and comprehensive medical services. During a press statement following his field tour of the new maternity hospital project in the Al-Sabah Specialized Medical District on Monday, Dr. Al-Awadhi expressed confidence that the hospital will substantially improve healthcare services for women and children, highlighting its importance in bolstering the health sector's capabilities.

Throughout the tour, the Minister engaged with Ministry of Health specialists to discuss the operational details of the hospital and ensure the readiness of essential equipment and supplies for high-quality medical services. He emphasized that this visit is part of an ongoing commitment to monitor the progress of major health projects and guarantee their readiness according to the highest international standards.

The hospital, a key project in the national development plan, is being constructed on a 65,000 square meter area, with a total building area of 357,400 square meters. Designed to meet the latest international standards for obstetrics and gynecology, the facility includes environmentally friendly and energy-efficient features. It boasts a capacity of 789 beds, 59 delivery rooms, 28 operating rooms, and 81 outpatient clinics. Additionally, 80% of the rooms offer a sea view, creating a comfortable environment for patients. The hospital also includes specialized pharmacies and laboratories to meet all patient needs.
