CAIRO, Egypt, Oct 30, (Agencies): In recent times, short drama series have gained remarkable success, prompting several actors and actresses to venture into the upcoming Ramadan season with 15-episode series instead of the traditional 30 episodes. This shift reduces the filming effort significantly. For instance, renowned actress Yousra is set to star in a new 15-episode social drama, with the title and details to be revealed soon.

Actress Nelly Karim has signed on for the comedy series "Frawla," also comprising 15 episodes. Meanwhile, Menna Shalaby is preparing for her next Ramadan series titled "Nima Al-Afwakato" alongside Ahmed Zaher, written by Mohamed Sami and Mahab Tarek, and directed by Mohamed Sami. This comes after her absence from the last two seasons.

Dina El Sherbiny is presenting the second part of "Kamil Al-Adad," a 15-episode series set to air during Ramadan, following the success of its first part last season, co-starring Sherif Salama and written by Rana Abu Alrish and Yosr Taher, with Khalid El Hlafawy directing.

As for actor Akram Hosny, he is embarking on his first experience in short drama with "Baba Goh," which is also scheduled for Ramadan. The remaining cast members are currently being finalized.

Furthermore, Eyad Nassar has joined the list of actors starring in 15-episode series this Ramadan with "Sila Rahim," written by Ahmed Abu Zeid and directed by Tamer Nady. The production is in the preparation phase, with all details soon to be disclosed.
