KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department of Criminal Investigations in the Ahmadi Governorate, successfully apprehended a Nigerian gang within 24 hours of their armed robbery at an exchange office in Mahboula. The gang stole foreign currencies valued at approximately 4,600 Kuwaiti dinars.

Investigations revealed that the gang meticulously planned the crime, monitoring exchange offices from nearby rooftops to identify peak times. They also used stolen license plates to conceal the identities of the vehicles involved in the operation.

Detectives arrested one suspect in Mahboula, who confessed to surveilling the location and informing his accomplice when the office was clear of customers. The second suspect was apprehended in the Al-Qurain Markets area, and the stolen money, along with a small bag containing the narcotic substance "crystal meth," was recovered from his residence.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that the suspects and seized items have been referred to the Public Prosecution Office for further legal action.
