LOS ANGELES, Feb 4, (Agencies): Saturday Night Live, known for its political satire, took things up a notch in this weekend’s “cold open” with a surprise appearance by Nikki Haley. The former ambassador portrayed herself, grilling James Austin Johnson’s Donald Trump during a CNN Town Hall.

While the sketch initially focused on Johnson’s impressive Trump impression, the highlight emerged when town hall moderators took questions from the audience, and Haley herself appeared, using the opportunity to humorously jab at Trump and highlight her own image.

After Trump mistakenly identified Haley as Nancy Pelosi, Haley retorted, “Are you doing OK, Donald? You might need a mental competency test.” Johnson’s Trump fired back, “I took the test, and I aced it. Perfect score. They said I’m 100 percent mental.”

The inclusion of Haley on SNL has sparked some controversy, drawing criticism from both ends of the political spectrum. Many took to Twitter to express their disapproval of the cameo.
