KUWAIT CITY, Sept 19: Director of Community Development Department at the Ministry of Social Affairs, Nadia Al-Azmi, said there is no intention to increase the fees of booking wedding halls by citizens, reports Al-Rai daily.

However, in an effort to prevent those who manipulate the issue of bookings, she stressed, no one is allowed to make more than two bookings during the entire year. Al-Azmi told the daily “the program of automated booking of wedding halls, is excellent, is constantly updated and developed since its inception, and did not discover any technical gaps.”

As for the Ministry’s intention to revoke the management of some wedding halls, Al-Azmi pointed out that “all the halls belonging to cooperative societies have been withdrawn, and that after the budget was approved follow-up procedure to withdraw the remaining wedding halls of individual donors will be completed.”

Meanwhile, Director of Al-Othman Zakat Committee at Al-Najat Charity Ahmed Baqer Al-Kandari has unveiled the intention of the committee to execute the Omrah project for needy laborers.

He called on the donors to participate in this project which aims at helping 100 individuals of different nationalities to perform Omrah this year.

He confirmed the committee has contracts with well-reputed caravans keen on providing the best services to beneficiaries. He added the cost per individual is KD 50, indicating the donors can contact the committee at these numbers 99388878 or 99401011
