No Kuwaiti citizens affected by California wildfires, ambassador confirms

WASHINGTON, Jan 14: Kuwait's Ambassador to the United States, Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah, confirmed on Tuesday that no Kuwaiti citizens have been injured due to the ongoing wildfires in California.

In a statement to KUNA, Sheikha Al-Zain urged Kuwaiti citizens in California to exercise caution, avoid areas affected by the fires, and follow all instructions issued by local authorities.

She also reassured the public that the Kuwaiti Embassy in Washington, along with other diplomatic missions, is closely monitoring the situation and is prepared to respond to any emergencies.

Additionally, Sheikha Al-Zain noted that efforts are underway to designate a hotel near Los Angeles International Airport as a potential evacuation point for Kuwaiti citizens, should the need arise.

She encouraged all Kuwaiti nationals in California to adhere to local safety guidelines and to reach out to the Consulate General of Kuwait and the Kuwait Cultural Office in Los Angeles in case of emergencies, using the following contact numbers:
