KUWAIT CITY, Feb 13: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has clarified that rumors circulating on social media about the need for frontline workers to register on a certain application and enter their data on the ministry’s website to benefit from the free food supplies are incorrect, reports Al-Anba daily.

The ministry affirmed there is no need for the frontliners to register on any application in order to obtain free food supplies, as the only requirement is to activate the civil identification card on the ‘My Identity’ application. It added that the distribution of free food supplies is based on the lists of beneficiaries from the ministries of Health and Interior.

On the other hand, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said that, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior and after following the necessary legal procedures, it raided an unlicensed place being used to store and sell counterfeit goods.
