KUWAIT CITY, Aug 31: For the second consecutive day, the Ministry of Interior’s search and rescue teams, along with helicopters, have been extensively searching the Al- Salmi desert for a missing citizen. Despite their efforts, no trace of the missing person has been found.

According to security sources, the informant, who is the citizen’s brother, said his brother was stranded in the desert without water or gasoline. The helicopter unit has conducted two flight missions over the desert area but yielded no new information. The missing person’s friend had informed the brother that he had received a call from the missing person, who said he was lost and did not have water and gasoline.

This friend had a dispute with his brother who has been missing for 13 years. The sources revealed that the investigation is now focused on the friend to figure out if he was involved in the citizen’s disappearance. The search area, characterized by dense sand, is located approximately seven kilometers from the nearest asphalt road.
