Acting on a tip-off, personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have arrested an unidentified male nurse for turning his apartment in Hawalli into a medical clinic to treat expatriates suffering from infectious diseases to make them medically ‘FIT’ prior to getting a work permit in Kuwait, reports Al-Shahed daily. The ‘doctor’ reportedly prescribed drugs prior to going for medical tests to help the expatriates hide their sicknesses. When police raided his apartment, they found medicines which cannot be given without a doctor’s prescription. The suspect and the medicines have been handed over to the concerned authorities.

Man held with drugs: Ahmadi securitymen arrested a citizen for the consumption and possession of drugs, reports Al-Rai daily. While patrolling in Fintas, the securitymen noticed the unusual behavior of the suspect who was seen walking in the area late at night. When the officers stopped him for routine inspection, they noticed he was under the influence of drugs and they found several cigarettes containing hashish in his possession. A case was registered and the suspect was referred to the Drug Control General Department.

Cables stolen: Police are looking for unidentified thieves for stealing copper cables from a power station in Sulaibiya, reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily added, the thieves reportedly broke the lock on the door of the powerhouse and stole the cables.
