For 77 years, the Palestinian cause has been controlled by some extremist people. Since then, they have been happy to invest in the Palestinian cause and take advantage of the suffering of the Palestinian people. From the time the slogan, “We will throw Israel into the sea,” was adopted until the Al-Aqsa Flood; the Palestinians have not found an advocate who can adequately champion their cause. Rather, they see the so-called ‘national liberation movement’ as a window into further squandering their legitimate rights. Hamas, born from the womb of the Muslim Brotherhood, continues to waste any chance to establish a Palestinian State capable of living.
Yesterday, we said that since 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood has been a Trojan horse for the realization of projects to fragment the Arab world and to inject Zionist poison into the honey of resisting the occupation. This was clearly demonstrated on Oct 7, 2023; when Hamas turned back the clock with a foolish operation. Its negotiators stayed in the most luxurious hotels, while blood was being shed in the trenches. The people of Gaza believe that their cause is just and they are more concerned about Palestinian blood than anyone else. However, for 18 years, they have been pushed into the tunnel of oppression and starvation. The previously silent majority has now exploded in anger.
The truth, which the factions were trying to suppress at all cost, has no longer been challenged. The truth has been exposed, hunger has settled in the stomachs, and killing, which was previously isolated, has become widespread. The accusation of being a mercenary that those extremist groups used to attribute to whoever does not agree with them is no longer effective. After a long period of suffering, the people have realized that they are the perpetual victims of white-collar parties, careful not to dirty their elegant suits with the dust of suffering. Therefore, they were always keen on silencing the voices of the hungry and the sick. For all of this, the Hamas government -- no matter what it does -- will not be able to stem the tide of protests, erupting amid the rubble of destroyed homes. Is this region destined to endure perpetual destruction and killing, such that if it does not come from Israel, it comes from its own people? It was said long ago: A thousand outsider enemies are better than one saboteur at home.
The usurpation of power is not the result of a moment of political turmoil. In 2007, Hamas turned against everyone. Those who proclaimed their false faith disrespected the Holy Kaaba and broke the agreement signed there. They began practicing their mischief at the behest of the international organization of the Muslim Brotherhood. This is why their habit has been to extinguish any spark of hope, starting with the Gaza-Jericho Agreement in 1993 and it continues up to this day.
On this issue, we must speak realistically. Israel has become a reality, whether we like it or not. It is supported by the majority of countries around the world, even the most powerful ones. We should not be deceived by the solidarity demonstrations in some European capitals; because they will not change the official decisions of governments, even if they express some sympathy for the Palestinians, while they continue to arm Tel Aviv. In political realism, “the eye cannot defy the needle;” while anything is possible in dreams. This is the difference that Hamas leaders in and outside Palestine failed to grasp. Consequently, they indirectly served the Israeli agenda.
Hence, we must review the history of the cause; starting from the 1936 revolution. Each time, revolutionary uprisings ended in entrenching the occupation, as if Palestinian leaders worked in the Mossad office. Moreover, since 1979, the so-called ‘Islamic Revolution’ has taken its share in exploiting Palestinian blood to realize its dream project. All of this could have destroyed the long-awaited State project. Regrettably, none of the Palestinian leaders, and some Arabs, have been convinced that Israel does not want peace unless confronted with a serious Arab initiative; as the case with the Arab Initiative adopted at the Beirut Summit. Israel always finds fools among the leaders of organizations who prepare exits to dissuade it from pursuing this initiative. Today, with the widespread protests against Hamas’ practices, everyone is increasingly aware that eliminating the movement’s rule over the Gaza Strip is not enough. Rather, its leaders, who have committed a grave crime against their own people, must be brought to justice.
