KUWAIT CITY, Nov 14: The Kuwaiti Olympic Committee organized informative workshops for all sports entities. The sessions covered an overview of the Olympic Charter, anti-doping regulations, sports arbitration procedures, and the Code of Ethics Committee.

The event was attended by key figures such as the Vice President of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee, Muhammad Jaafar, Olympic Committee member Fatima Hayat, and the General Director of the Committee, Muhammad Khalfan. Presidents, administrators, coaches, and referees from various sports bodies were also present.

Representatives from the Kuwait Anti-Doping Agency, the National Authority for Sports Arbitration, and the Ethics Committee of the Olympic Committee actively participated in these workshops.

Mohammed Khalfan, Director of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee, emphasized the importance of such workshops for educating athletes, including administrators, players, and technical staff.

Topics covered included insights into the Olympic Charter, anti-doping regulations, and the potential pitfalls that athletes should avoid. The sessions also delved into sports arbitration, addressing complaint cases and providing guidance on managing arbitration chambers. Khalfan underscored the significance of the Ethics Committee for sports bodies.

He stated, “The workshop attendance was positive, marking a good start. Even those who missed these workshops may have the opportunity to participate in future sessions, aiming to reach the widest possible number of athletes.”
