Center receives 400 visitors daily
Visitors seen waiting their turn at the Jahra Medical Center
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 26: Believe it or Not. There is only one radiography device for examining the expatriate workers at the Jahra Medical Center, reports Al-Rai daily. To add insult to injury, the place is too small and it becomes very difficult to accommodate the large number of people who visit the center to complete their residence formalities. This situation has been resented by the citizens and residents alike. In response to a question about the reasons of the shortage of equipment and lack of space, he quipped it is necessary to choose a suitable place in the Jahra Governorate, especially since there is a proposal to establish an independent building in Al-Oyoun.He added, “the current center receives from 300 to 400 visitors daily and the work is distributed - two days for men and 3 days for women, while the mornings are for domestic workers”. Evenings are allocated for all those who hold Article 18 visa in addition to a special window for Kuwaiti sponsors who are given priority, especially if they are elderly people or those with special needs.
