KUWAIT CITY, Nov 27: The State Security police are said to have interrogated more than 1,500 Kuwaitis and expatriates following the suicide bombing of the Imam Al- Sadiq mosque on June 26, 2015, which killed dozens of people and injured many, reports Al-Qabas daily. The daily added, most of those arrested were picked up during raids on their homes and suspicious places.
An official security source said the raid teams carried out between four and five tasks on a daily basis to arrest the suspects whose names popped up during interrogations with the accused. The source pointed out most of the raids and arrests and summons were done in secret away from the media spotlight to protect the course of investigations and not to disrupt the work of the security services. The source also pointed out the investigations led to the disclosure of some terrorist cells in some Gulf and Arab countries.
