Over 200 Violators Arrested in Kuwait's Crackdown on Residency Law Breaches

60 Visa Violators and 140 Absconders Among Hundreds Caught

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 19: In line with the directives of His Excellency Sheikh Fahd Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, Acting Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior, the Ministry of Interior conducted a large-scale security campaign across several governorates to apprehend violators of residency and labor laws.

The operation, carried out by the General Department of Residency Affairs Investigations in Jahra, Farwaniya, and Ahmadi governorates, targeted areas including Mutlaa, Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, Hasawi, Fahaheel, and Mahboula on Monday, November 18, 2024.

The campaign resulted in the arrest of 60 residency and labor law violators, 140 absconding individuals, 14 wanted persons with active warrants, and 18 individuals without identification documents. Legal action has been initiated against all those detained.

The Ministry of Interior reiterated its commitment to strictly enforcing the law, ensuring violators are held accountable, and extending responsibility to both workers and employers involved in breaches of residency regulations.
