KUWAIT CITY, Oct 3: The Operations and Traffic Affairs Sector of the Ministry of Interior has reported a staggering total of 3,100,638 traffic violations recorded from January to June 2024, spanning over 182 days. Speeding violations topped the list, with 1,531,625 instances documented during this period.
The sector further emphasized that a significant 93 percent of accidents attributed to inattention are linked to the use of mobile phones while driving. In the first half of 2024, there were 30,868 recorded violations for mobile phone use and 9,472 violations due to inattentiveness.
