KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: The General Traffic Department and the General Rescue Police Department reported a total of 46,562 traffic violations and 1,648 traffic accidents over eight days from Nov 30 to Dec 6.
According to data from the Traffic Affairs and Operations Sector, traffic personnel took several precautionary actions during this period:
45 violators were referred to precautionary detention
12 juveniles were sent to the Public Prosecution
135 vehicles and 48 motorcycles were impounded for violating Article 207
33 vehicles linked to civil and theft cases were seized
36 wanted individuals were referred, while 7 were found without evidence, and another was discovered in an abnormal condition.
A person in possession of suspected narcotics was referred to the General Department for Drug Control
Furthermore, emergency police operations from December 1 to December 7 resulted in significant law enforcement efforts, including:
30 individuals referred to the Anti-Narcotics Department
Two individuals entering the country illegally were sent to the relevant authorities
1,395 security and traffic operations were carried out across various governorates
74 wanted persons and 57 absconders were arrested
5 individuals with outstanding criminal sentences were detained
56 individuals were arrested without sufficient evidence
75 residency law violators were identified and arrested
241 individuals received roadside assistance
51 wanted vehicles were referred to authorities
Police resolved 8 reported quarrels
Moreover, 142 collision accidents were referred to the relevant police stations for further investigation
