KUWAIT CITY, Sept 8: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department are looking for an unidentified owner of a farm for using his farm as a hideout for stolen cars and various other items including different kinds of machines who tried in vain to escape from the place after damaging the police vehicle, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added, the raid came when the police forces were busy securing Husseiniyas and putting in place security plans throughout the province when they received information from confidential sources about the place which was used by the suspect to store the loot in Mutla’a in his farm about three kilometers away from the main road.
Armed with a search and arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution CID men went to the location and raided the place. The suspect who at the time was inside the farm got behind the wheel and managed to escape when something wrong went with the gear of the police patrol and stopped working.
CID men found inside the farmhouse a number of cars, power generators and various other items and remnants of several other cars, which the police believe may have been destroyed by the suspect. The security authorities are checking the records on stolen cars and power generators from all governorates, particular thefts committed in Jahra since the stolen goods were found in the farmhouse in Jahra.
