KUWAIT CITY, Dec 21: The Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) announced the approval of the tender committee to issue two tenders for the construction, completion and maintenance of road works and infrastructure networks for 13,812 plots in the South Jaber Al-Ahmad Residential City project. In a press statement, the Deputy Director General for Control and Information Systems Affairs Amina Abdul Kareem Al-Awadhi revealed that PAHW has sent December 24, 2023 as the date for fl oating the two tenders. She explained that the first tender is related to the construction, completion and maintenance of road works and infrastructure networks for 7,623 housing units located in the N5, N7, N9 and N10 suburbs.

The second tender is related to the construction, completion and maintenance of road works and infrastructure networks for 6,189 housing units located in the N4, N6, and N8 suburbs. Al-Awadhi revealed that the closing date for the two tenders will be February 1, 2024, and the project implementation period is scheduled to be 900 days for each tender. She went on to explain that the work of the two tenders will include the establishment of networks for rainwater, sewage, irrigation, treated water, fresh water, telephone lines, electricity and traffic works. It will also include application of three layers of asphalt on all the main roads in the project, installation of 15 irrigation tankers and construction of 600 electrical substations.
