PAI calls on industries to comply with peak-hour energy regulations
Kuwait's PAI enforces peak hour guidelines to ease electricity load.

KUWAIT CITY, April 17: The Public Authority for Industry (PAI) on Wednesday urged industrial establishments to adhere to the peak-hour regulations set by the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, which are in effect daily from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until further notice. This directive comes in response to the increased electrical loads resulting from the rising temperatures across the country.

In a statement to KUNA, the PAI explained that the move aligns with the state's strategy to promote the principles of rational electricity and water consumption, aiming to support sustainable development. It also reflects the shared national responsibility during this critical period.

To support industrial establishments and ensure the continuity of their operations, the PAI stated that work will be permitted in the evening, beyond the usual working hours, for facilities operating on single or double shifts.

The Authority emphasized that it will coordinate with relevant entities to take legal action against any violations of this directive. It also urged industrial facility owners to implement all necessary measures to enhance the efficiency of electricity consumption at their sites, recommending steps that contribute to improved electricity and water usage.
