Applicant must meet the conditions: Al-Otaibi

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 9: The Acting Director of the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) Marzouq Al- Otaibi announced the receipt of 107 requests to disburse labor support for owners of nano-enterprises and for those practicing activities of a special nature who are licensed, on the first day of the launch of opening files and receiving applications, which was yesterday.

Al-Otaibi said, “This step comes in implementation of Cabinet’s Resolution No. 1037/2023, adding a new clause to Article 1 of Cabinet’s Resolution No. 391/2001 for granting social allowance and children’s allowance to owners of professions and crafts and workers in non-governmental agencies. In a statement issued following an inspection tour yesterday morning at the Farwaniya Labor Department in Andalous on the occasion of the launch of opening files and receiving requests for the disbursement of labor support, Al-Otaibi indicated that the department that specializes in the administration of the disbursement of benefits received 80 inquiries. He stressed that the applicant must meet the conditions, first of which is obtaining a license for micro-activities or activities of a special nature from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and registration with the Public Institution for Social Security as an employer. The Director General of PAM thanked the workers of the relevant sectors for the speedy achievement and wished the business owners good luck and success, stressing that PAM is making all efforts to remove the obstacles facing employers.
