KUWAIT CITY, Feb 1: A security source revealed that a citizen and an expatriate, partners in a general trading and contracting company, are preparing to file a complaint with the Public Prosecution to include the name of an expatriate on the international wanted list. The accused allegedly deceived them betrayed their trust, and fled with KD 187,000. The victims approached the court after the Hawalli Investigations Department failed to apprehend the suspect to investigate the complaint filed against him.

According to the case details, the victims’ lawyer stated that his clients, along with the accused, were partners in the company. 47 year old accused, was entrusted with funds to complete construction work on two plots under separate contracts. However, he allegedly completed only a small portion of the work and absconded with KD 70,000 from the first contract and KD 117,000 from the second, totaling KD 187,000.

The lawyer explained that the three partners had agreed the accused would handle the construction projects, but he breached their trust by misappropriating the funds. A case has been registered and referred to investigations as the victims seek justice and the recovery of their money.
