PAS reaffirms support for squash team following Championship success in Iraq

The Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sports, Bashar Abdullah welcomes the squash team.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 13:   The Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sports, Bashar Abdullah, recently reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to providing financial and moral support for Kuwait’s squash team following their victory at the fifth West Asian Championship held in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq.

Bashar welcomed the team, including players Ammar Al-Tamimi, Mohammed Al-Masoud, Adhbi Jumaan, and Jassim Al-Gharib, along with coach Salem Fayez. Also present were Federation Vice President Khalid Al-Habib, delegation head and Board member Ahmed Al-Adwani, and Board member Adel Al-Gharib.

In his remarks, Bashar praised the players for their championship win, emphasizing that Kuwait’s squash team has established a strong international presence. He expressed his hopes for continued victories that would further elevate Kuwait’s reputation in sports.

He added, “The Authority will remain steadfast in providing both financial and moral support to help the team advance to the highest levels.”

In response, Khalid Al-Habib thanked Bashar for his ongoing support, noting that it enables the Federation to implement key programs that enhance players’ technical skills and foster success in international competitions. Al-Habib pledged to bring more achievements in the future.
