KUWAIT CITY, Aug 21: The Director General of General Administration of Customs Sulaiman Al-Fahad recently announced the launch of the first phase of the electronic services and integrated mechanisms to authorize exit using a Kuwaiti car to travel to the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), reports Al-Qabas daily.

In a press statement, Al-Fahad said these services enable individual car owners to submit the request electronically through the electronic link channels with the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) through the “My Identity” application, according to KUNA. He explained that the new generation of electronic services that are launched is characterized by its high efficiency in electronic interconnection with the state sectors and the possibility of immediate verification of transactions without the need for multiple visits to the concerned departments.

The new mechanism for issuing the power of attorney is integrated, as authentication can be achieved through the use of the “My Identity” application and the Ministry of Interior platform without the intervention of the human element to embody the digital identity that the customs authority works on, and the ways and means of providing its services and completing the procedures more effectively and in a shorter time.

The digital transformation file is at the forefront of the priorities of the executive plans of the customs authority to ensure facilitation, governance and security of digital government transactions. The authority has been exerting tremendous efforts to expand its activities and offer digital services and products.
