KUWAIT CITY, Dec 25: Kuwait’s head coach, Juan Antonio Pizzi, expressed his delight after his team's victory over the Emirates, commending the players' efforts in a post-match press conference.

"I am very proud of the fighting spirit, balanced performance, and exceptional effort displayed by the players throughout the match," said the Argentine coach.

Pizzi highlighted the promising talent within the Kuwaiti squad, emphasizing the importance of nurturing and supporting young players to secure the future of Kuwaiti football. "We have young players with remarkable skills who represent the future of Kuwaiti football. It is our responsibility to preserve, support, and guide them to achieve their full potential," he added.

Expressing gratitude to fans, Pizzi said he was thrilled to bring joy to the Kuwaiti people after defeating a strong opponent like the Emirates. "I thank the fans for their incredible support. We will now shift our focus to preparing for the critical match against Qatar to continue our journey in the tournament and qualify for the semi-finals."

Pizzi assured fans of his ongoing commitment to hard work and continuous improvement, pledging to deliver the best results for Kuwait.

Saud Al-Mujammed, the manager of Kuwait's national team, praised the players for their determination and resilience during the match.

"The players showed an unwavering fighting spirit from the first whistle to the final minute. Their determination shone brightest when they came back from a goal down against a formidable opponent with a roster full of professional players, while our heroes are primarily local talents," Al-Mujammed noted.

He acknowledged the challenges inherent in football, stressing that victory demands self-confidence, determination, and belief in achieving goals—all of which the Kuwaiti team demonstrated. Al-Mujammed extended gratitude to the loyal fans for their unwavering support, whether in the stands or from afar.

Looking ahead, Al-Mujammed urged players to keep their celebrations in check and remain focused on the upcoming clash against Qatar, the reigning Asian Cup champions. "Everyone still has a chance to qualify for the semi-finals, and the match against Qatar will be tough," he said.

Concluding his remarks, Al-Mujammed emphasized that the real triumph was the joy shared by Kuwaiti fans, stating, "The joy of our audience is the greatest victory, and we will continue working with the same determination to achieve our goals."
