Platform '51' brings '51 Nights' to popular tourist locations in Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 23: The Ministry of Information has announced the launch of "51 Nights," a groundbreaking event series for its digital platform "51." These events will take place across various tourist destinations in Kuwait, aiming to enhance audience engagement with the platform.

Saad Al-Azmi, Head of the Platform’s Coordination Committee and Assistant Undersecretary for Media Services and New Media, told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Saturday that the first event kicked off on Friday as part of the "Makashat 3" project organized by the Ministry of Social Affairs. The event drew an audience of over 4,000 attendees.

Al-Azmi explained that the "51 Nights" events will continue at the Makashat site in the coming weeks to allow the largest possible number of visitors to enjoy the activities. Following this, the events will rotate weekly to different locations, including the Al-Mubarakiya area and various shopping malls.

He noted that these events are part of a collaborative marketing plan between the public and private sectors, designed by ministry teams in cooperation with Ooredoo Telecommunications Company, which operates the platform through its subsidiary, Fast Telecom.

Al-Azmi emphasized that the "51" platform, under the directives of Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, and with the follow-up of Undersecretary Dr. Nasser Muhaisen, seeks to showcase Kuwait’s national heritage. The platform aims to present this heritage innovatively, using diverse programming to revive the past and connect it with the present and future. The initiative is designed to strengthen public interaction and foster a deeper connection to Kuwait’s national identity.

He highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to promoting national culture and digitizing heritage in alignment with its strategy to make the "51" platform a dynamic gateway for showcasing Kuwait’s artistic and cultural legacy. This platform aspires to deliver rich, inspiring content that resonates with future generations while keeping pace with modern aspirations.

Al-Azmi expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Social Affairs and the organizers of the Makashat project for their support in facilitating the platform’s inclusion as a key feature of this distinguished event.

He added that with the launch of "51 Nights," the Ministry of Information and its partners aim to provide a unique digital experience, reflecting Kuwait’s cultural and artistic identity. The initiative underscores the Ministry’s dedication to advancing media tools as a bridge connecting Kuwait’s past, present, and future.

Nasser Al-Arfaj, Director of Strategic Relations and Innovation at Ooredoo, stated in a similar statement to KUNA that Ooredoo worked closely with the Ministry of Information to develop a marketing strategy that promotes the "51" platform through innovative cultural and artistic events.

Al-Arfaj commended the efforts of volunteers and organizers at the Makashat event, emphasizing that the success of the event was achieved through effective collaboration between the public and private sectors. He credited the organizing team and volunteers for creating a memorable experience at this exceptional tourist site.
