KUWAIT CITY, Feb 26: Security personnel in Ahmadi Governorate have successfully apprehended individuals involved in a violent altercation at a local shopping mall, following a viral video of the incident.

According to the Ahmadi Security Directorate, officers arrested four young men and a girl, while Ahmadi Investigations personnel detained three additional suspects, who were part of the opposing group. Among those involved was a juvenile, who has been referred to the Juvenile Police for further legal proceedings before being handed over to the Public Prosecution.

The incident, which gained widespread attention on social media, showed a group of young men engaged in a physical confrontation inside the mall. However, the individuals managed to flee before police arrived. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported, and no official complaints were filed. To ensure public safety and prevent similar incidents, security officials are thoroughly reviewing CCTV footage and conducting further investigations. Officials have reiterated their commitment to maintaining order and taking swift action against any disturbances that threaten public safety.
