KUWAIT CITY, July 24: The Ahmadi security forces have taken into custody a Kuwaiti for impersonating police and robbing expatriates, reports Al-Anba daily. The arrest happened in Mahboula. The suspect has a criminal record and was found in possession of a vest, a blue flasher, and forged military identities. During interrogation, the suspect has admitted to the charges slapped against him following which he was handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department.
In another incident, the CID men have taken into custody a Kuwaiti and two expats for consuming drugs and seized from them drugs, air rifle and drug paraphernalia. In yet another incident, the police have arrested three citizens for possessing six sachets of chemicals, narcotic pills, four hashish cigarettes, and drug paraphernalia. The trio was initially arrested because the man behind the wheel stepped on the gas pedal after seeing a police vehicle.
All six suspects were referred to the General Administration for Drug Control. Also, the Al-Ahmadi security patrols have arrested a citizen who is believed to be in his 30s for consuming and possessing drugs, reports Al- Anba daily. The daily added, the man is a former criminal and was wanted by law in connection with several cases. The man reportedly attempted to escape when he approached a checkpoint in the Mahboula area.
