KUWAIT CITY, May 8: The female police in the public security sector embody the true picture of women working alongside their male counterparts in the area of implementing the decisions of the Council of Ministers related to partial curfew. Policewomen are seen manning the checkpoints at the security points to check the permits of motorists and others who are permitted to be on the streets during the curfew period. During a tour of some areas undertaken by the Al-Seyassah daily, policewomen were seen busy at security checkpoints to verify the barcodes and permits during the curfew period.

The policewomen said they are proud to support their male counterparts who work around the clock to implement laws, maintain security and safety, and serve the country. In the same context, the head of the Special Tasks patrols department Lieutenant-Colonel Hussein Badr Asad, told Al-Seyassah the presence of female police in the public security sector is a great support for their fellow security men. In shopping malls also and on pedestrian streets they are very active in ensuring people abide by the decisions issued by the health authorities.
