Ministry restores electricity after outages.

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy announced today, Saturday, that electrical power has been fully restored to all agricultural and industrial areas that experienced outages. This restoration is part of efforts to maintain the stability of the country's electrical system.

In a press statement, the Ministry confirmed that power was reinstated in Abdali, Wafra, Al-Rai, Sulaibiya, Amghara, and Subhan areas previously affected by the outages. Earlier today, the Ministry had reported a complete halt in gas processing by the National Petroleum Company, which impacted the quality of gas supplied to certain electricity generation units and water distillation stations.

As a result, the Ministry had to reduce electrical loads on these units to safeguard the electrical system. The National Petroleum Company has since resumed operation of the gas processing units, and the situation is being closely monitored.

The Ministry warned that electricity supply may be cut to some non-residential areas if necessary to preserve system stability. Updates on the electrical network status will be shared through the Ministry’s official social media channels. Customers are urged to conserve electricity, particularly during peak hours, and to follow the Ministry’s guidelines.
