Princess Kate

LONDON, May 20: Princess Kate, in her first official engagement since her cancer diagnosis, unveiled a new project aimed at shedding light on the mental health challenges encountered by Britain's farming community.

The Princess of Wales took to social media to share a trailer for a short film addressing the mental well-being of farmers. This announcement marks her inaugural involvement in a project since disclosing her cancer diagnosis.

In her official statement, she expressed, "This #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, we've collaborated with the inspirational Sam Stables from We Are Farming Minds and the brilliant Farmer Will for a very special film."

The film captures discussions on mental health within the farming community, seeking support, and outlines the Mental Health Strategy of the Duchy of Cornwall. Although the Princess does not appear in the film, it was produced under her and Prince William's guidance.

The project's genesis traces back to a meeting between the Waleses and Sam Stables at his farm last September, culminating in the launch of the Duchy of Cornwall's Mental Health Strategy. Collaborative efforts between the duchy and Stables persist to provide essential support.

As Kate focuses on her recovery, Prince William recently mentioned during a visit to the Isles of Scilly that she is "doing well" in her journey. Kate's temporary withdrawal from royal duties underscores the seriousness of her health condition, with no specified timeline for her recovery provided yet.
