LONDON, Nov 20: A private funeral was held for former One Direction singer Liam Payne in Amersham, England, on Wednesday afternoon, a month after his tragic death from a fall at a hotel in Buenos Aires. The service, held at a church about 25 miles northwest of London, was attended by Payne's former bandmates—Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik.

Among those present were TV host James Corden, model Damian Hurley, and Girls Aloud members Kimberley Walsh and Nicola Roberts, as well as Payne's girlfriend, Kate Cassidy.

Payne’s coffin, draped in a white cloth, was brought to the church in a carriage drawn by two white horses. Pallbearers carried it into the church for the service.

Payne, 31, tragically passed away on October 16 after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires. A toxicology report revealed traces of cocaine, alcohol, and a prescription antidepressant in his system. Following the incident, local prosecutors have filed charges against three individuals, including a hotel employee accused of supplying narcotics and a person who was reportedly with Payne during his trip, who has been charged with abandonment leading to death.

Liam Payne is survived by his 7-year-old son, Bear Grey Payne, whose mother is Cheryl, another member of Girls Aloud.

One Direction was formed on the British talent show The X Factor in 2010, and they achieved worldwide success with hits such as “What Makes You Beautiful,” “Live While We’re Young,” and “Story of My Life.” The band parted ways in 2016, with each member continuing their music careers as solo artists.
