KUWAIT CITY, Sept 21: The Ministry of Interior clarified in a statement regarding the new uniform for police officers that recent coordination meetings have been held to review the proposed design and colors for the security personnel's attire, noting that these designs are still "under study." The ministry further stated that the new uniform will be approved only after being presented to His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who holds the authority to sanction the official uniform for Ministry of Interior personnel.

A local newspaper reported, citing sources, that First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef had approved the new official police uniform. According to an informed security source, the General Administration of Supply and Logistics, which is responsible for the police force's official uniform, recently presented the new design, which consists of various shades of gray.

The source added that the new color will be used for both summer and winter uniforms, as well as the official suit for formal occasions, and the new uniform is expected to be introduced into service by January next year.
