KUWAIT CITY, Nov 7, (AP): The Public Prosecution has called for the maximum penalty to be imposed on the accused in the well-known murder case that claimed the life of citizen Mubarak Al-Rashidi. Describing the crime as "heinous," the prosecution's representative urged the Criminal Court today to impose the death penalty by hanging, citing the need for deterrence.
On May 25, 2023, the Ministry of Interior announced the discovery of the body of citizen Mubarak Al-Rashidi after weeks of his disappearance in the Kabd desert. The forensic evidence report confirmed that he was murdered, and his body was concealed inside a container in Barr Al-Salmi. The accused in his murder case was referred to the Public Prosecution and then to the Criminal Court.
