KUWAIT CITY, Dec 5: The Public Authority for Applied Education and Training to host the Warba Bank Women’s Futsal League competitions, part of the third Higher Education Sports Games. The event is organized by the Kuwait School Sports and Higher Education Federation, featuring the participation of 6 educational institutions divided into two groups.

In Group A, Kuwait University is set to face the Public Authority for Applied Education at five in the evening today, while the American University of Kuwait team will have a rest. In Group B, the Australian University of Kuwait will compete against the Kuwait College of Science and Technology at six o’clock, with the Gulf University team enjoying a rest.

Walid Nassar, a member of the technical committee of the Warba Bank League, confirmed that the committee has designed a schedule tailored to the participating teams. The girls’ futsal league will consist of 12 matches following an approved system. The second and third-place teams will then enter the quarter-finals, with the second in Group A facing the third in Group B, and vice versa. The winners will progress to the semi-finals to face the top two teams from each group.

Nassar explained that a lottery will be conducted after the semi-final qualifiers to ensure fairness in determining the match-ups. The technical committee has also verified the eligibility of female players in accordance with the pre-approved regulations for the Warba Bank League.
Faisal Al-Maqseed, President of the Federation, leads the Supreme Committee, which has provided all necessary resources for the success of the third edition of the Warba Futsal League for Girls. Nassar expressed gratitude to the Public Authority for Applied Education for utilizing all sports facilities to support the Games in higher education.
