Public Authority for Sports hosts Sports Analysis and Media course

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 3: The "Sports Analysis and Media News" course concluded successfully at the Abdullah Al-Salem Center for Leadership Preparation, part of the Competitive Sports Sector at the Public Authority for Sports. The week-long course saw significant participation from sports analysts and enthusiasts. Notable attendees included Dr. Mosaed Al-Khayat and Dr. Salem Al-Waqian. Nawaf Al-Kandari, the Director of the Leadership Preparation Center, awarded certificates to participants, alongside Dr. Mosaed Al-Khayat.

Nawaf Al-Kandari emphasized the commitment of the Public Authority for Sports and the Leadership Preparation Center to organize courses that enhance sports analysis and media reporting. He noted that attracting diverse participants is vital for the growth of Kuwaiti sports, especially for analysts and media professionals.

He stated, “We need to convey sports news accurately. The participants have established foundations and rules enabling them to effectively communicate sports culture to the public.” Dr. Mosaed Al-Khayat added that the Public Authority for Sports and the Leadership Development Center are dedicated to raising the standard of sports in Kuwait across all areas, including technical, administrative, and media aspects.

He elaborated, “Sports media is an integral part of the sports ecosystem. As sports media evolves, so does the individual in society. It establishes standards and guidelines that guide officials toward improvement through constructive proposals and opinions. Furthermore, it enhances player efficiency, motivates them, and encourages society to engage in sports while combating negative behaviors and addressing high obesity rates in Kuwait.”

Dr. Al-Khayat also highlighted the broader scope of sports media, stating that it should encompass not just news transmission but also address psychological, social, mental, economic, and philosophical dimensions.
